Overview
Jeremy’s Bible App is a personal Bible reading and journaling app. Your notes, annotations, and reading progress are stored in your own Google Drive — the developer has no server, no backend, and no access to your data.
Information We Collect
Google Account Information
When you sign in with Google, the app receives your Google account email address. This is used only to identify which Google Drive account to sync with. No other Google account information (name, profile photo, contacts, etc.) is accessed.
Reading Progress and Preferences
The app stores your current reading location (book, chapter, verse), the chapters you have marked as read, and your in-app preferences (font size, theme, display language, etc.).
User-Created Content
The app stores content you create:
- Annotations — text notes, highlights, bookmarks, and handwritten ink strokes attached to specific Bible verses.
- Journals — handwritten ink entries organized by Bible chapter.
How Your Data Is Stored
On your device: All data is saved locally so the app works offline.
On Google Drive: If you sign in with Google, your reading progress, preferences, annotations, and journals are synced to a private folder in your own Google Drive (appDataFolder). This folder:
- Is not visible in the Google Drive file browser.
- Is not accessible to any other app.
- Is not accessible to the developer — only you and Google can read it.
The developer does not operate any server or database. Your data never passes through any system controlled by the developer.
How We Use Your Data
Your data is used solely to:
- Display your Bible reading content and annotations within the app.
- Sync your data across your devices via your Google Drive.
- Restore your data when you reinstall the app.
The app does not use your data for advertising, profiling, analytics, or any purpose beyond the features you see in the app.
Data Sharing
Your data is not sold, rented, or shared with any third party, with one exception: your data is synced to Google Drive as described above. Google’s storage and handling of data in your Drive is governed by Google’s Privacy Policy.
No other third-party SDKs, analytics tools, advertising networks, or crash reporting services are used in this app.
Google’s Role
This app uses Google Sign-In and the Google Drive API. By signing in with Google, you also agree to Google’s Terms of Service and Privacy Policy. You can revoke the app’s access to your Google account at any time via your Google Account permissions page.

You can delete all your data at any time:
- Delete app data from Google Drive: Go to Google Drive Storage settings → Manage → find “Jeremy’s Bible App” → Delete app data.
- Revoke Google access: Go to Google Account permissions → find “Jeremy’s Bible App” → Remove access.
