1. Acceptance of Terms
By downloading or using Jeremy’s Bible App (“the App”), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the App.
2. Description of Service
Jeremy’s Bible App is a personal Bible reading and journaling application. It allows you to read the Bible, annotate verses, write journal entries, and sync your data across devices using your own Google Drive account.
3. Your Account
The App uses Google Sign-In for authentication. You are responsible for maintaining access to your Google account. The developer does not manage user accounts and cannot reset credentials or recover lost access.
By signing in with Google, you also agree to Google’s Terms of Service.
4. Your Content
You own all content you create in the App — notes, annotations, journal entries, and ink strokes. The developer makes no claim over your content.
Your content is stored on your device and synced to your own Google Drive. The developer has no access to it. See the Privacy Policy for details.
You are solely responsible for the content you create and store using the App.
5. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Use the App for any unlawful purpose.
- Attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, or extract the App’s source code beyond what is permitted by applicable law.
- Use the App in any way that interferes with its normal operation or the use of the App by others.
6. Bible Content
The Bible text provided in the App is used under license from its respective rights holders. The text is provided for personal, non-commercial use only. You may not redistribute, sell, or sublicense the Bible text.
7. No Warranty
The App is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. The developer does not warrant that the App will be error-free, uninterrupted, or free of data loss.
You are responsible for maintaining your own backups of important content.
8. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, the developer shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of or inability to use the App, including loss of data, even if advised of the possibility of such damages.
Total liability for any claim arising from these Terms shall not exceed the amount you paid for the App in the twelve months preceding the claim (or $0 if the App was free).
9. Third-Party Services
The App integrates with Google Drive and Google Sign-In. The developer is not responsible for the availability, accuracy, or practices of Google’s services. Your use of Google services is governed by Google’s own terms and policies.
10. Termination
You may stop using the App at any time by uninstalling it. The developer may discontinue the App or remove it from distribution at any time without notice.
11. Changes to These Terms
The developer may update these Terms from time to time. Updated Terms will be posted at the same URL with a new effective date. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
12. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which the developer resides, without regard to conflict of law principles.
